Physiotherapy

At YS Physio, we are passionate about ensuring our clients return to optimal performance after an injury.

We understand the complexity of the human body and the importance of properly assessing, evaluating, and diagnosing your condition to create an effective plan to get you back to your best.

Our Process

1. Assessment

This usually takes up most of our first meeting. During the assessment, we will discuss your history, development of your condition, and any possible underlying factors that may be related to it. We will also discuss your goals, and how we can work together to achieve them. We use several different functional assessment methods to ensure we get the most accurate information.

2. Treatment

Because every person is different, the treatment you receive will be unique to your injury and rehab journey. We will create a treatment plan that follows the latest evidence, and aligns with your preferences and goals.

3. Evaluation & Adjustment

We will keep ongoing communication with you and continue tailoring your treatment plan to ensure you get the best experience and outcome from your time with us. This usually includes adjusting your exercise routines, adding or reducing manual treatment, and including different modalities of physiotherapy.

Pre/Post-surgery Rehabilitation

By addressing both pre and post-operative needs, physiotherapy ensures a smoother surgical experience, faster recovery times, and a quicker return to daily activities, ultimately enhancing our overall patient outcomes and quality of life.

Pre-surgery rehabilitation

Pre-surgery rehabilitation, or prehabilitation, focuses on preparing the body for the upcoming surgical procedure through targeted exercises that enhance strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness, thereby reducing surgical risks and improving postoperative recovery.

Post-surgery rehabilitation

Post-surgery rehabilitation aims to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent complications through a structured program of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.
